21 Days of
Prayer
August 2-22, 2026
Prayer is not our last resort. It is our first response. For 21 days, we are setting aside intentional time to seek God together through prayer and fasting.
A message from Pastor Josiah
We Pray
First.
As we prepare to launch Total City Church, it is of the utmost importance that we develop a pray first culture. We don't pray last. We pray first. At TC, prayer will never be our last resort. It will always be our first response.
Prayer is our ability to connect with our Heavenly Father, who knows our needs before we even ask Him. He loves to hear from His children, and He calls us to a lifestyle of communication with Him.
Over these 21 days, our prayer is that you would discover the beauty of prayer and the power it produces in your life. This guide is designed to help you grow in your own spiritual journey and shape our prayers together as we set our hearts on all that God has for us through the launch of Total City.
Let's seek God together.
Why Prayer?
Prayer is not our last resort. It is our first response.
Prayer is about connecting with your Heavenly Father, who loves you, knows your needs, and delights in hearing from His children. When life gets difficult, we pray first. When we receive good news, we pray first. Before making decisions, facing challenges, or celebrating victories, we pray first because we believe everything changes when we spend time with God.
Prayer isn't about getting something from God. It's about connecting with God.
Why Fasting?
If prayer is about God hearing from me, fasting is about me hearing from God.
Biblical fasting is the voluntary abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose. Paired with prayer, fasting helps us remove distractions and make room for God to speak. It reminds us that we are spirit first and makes us more attentive to His leading.
Ask God what kind of fast He is calling you to. Whatever you choose, let your motivation be the same: to know Jesus more deeply and create space for Him to work in your life.
